I think what has been great about moving to a new state, is discovering fun places to enjoy as a family. I remember seeing splash pads while I was growing up, but we didn’t have them in our hometown, because we had a beautiful beach to go to instead. It gets pretty warm and humid in Ohio, so on those hot summer days we are always looking for something fun to do outside, that can also keep us cool!
Carter loves the water. I even have a hard time getting him out of the bathtub sometimes! One day I decided to google where to find some playgrounds that we could take Carter to, and I found the Fred Greenwood Park in Medina, Ohio. Little did I know this would be a total “mom win” for myself, because it doubles as a splash pad too! We’ve been there several times already, and have had a blast. If you have little ones who love the water, find a splash pad near you for a great summer day activity!
I bet it’s fun to watch Carter play there! It looks like a great place!

With “Sunrise Side” connections but born and raised in NE Ohio, I was so excited to hear you were heading to OH. We have already spread the news to all of our fellow Browns fans, to add “Janis” to their list of favorites! I also was anxious to hear that you and your family were settling in OH well. This splash pad sounds amazing! Also, if you are in the area of Beachwood, OH….you may wish to check out Preston’s Hope Playground (check FB) if you haven’t already. It is a FANTASTIC place for little ones! Wear lots of sunscreen and remember it is even a great place for a cooler or cloudy day because of the sun. But it is well worth the trip to check it out! And it is FREE!
