“I could have no greater joy than to hear that my children are following the truth.” 3 John 1:4
One special day. I got the kids up early with my mom to take a drive up to The Cross in the Woods✝️. I honestly hadn’t been up there since my high school youth days! Having all of the kids with me, and seeing how each of them were taking it in was so memorable. A few moments that stood out: Levi kneeling down in the St. Peregrine shrine to pray, seeing and visiting with Father Yilar who baptized our Ally Grace, sitting in the front row of the chapel at Mass (I was rather nervous about this but they were the only seats left and the kids thankfully did pretty well🙏🏻), running into some familiar faces, and honestly just watching the kids throughout the grounds!
Truly the most important role as a mother is teaching and raising our children to know Jesus. It is our job to guide them along the path and encourage them to see the goodness of God. I have grown in my faith immensely since becoming a mother! There was so much right from day one that I learned from our first baby Carter to surrender my worries and anxieties up to him as a first time mom, and even now as a mom of four. I hope and pray they always feel God’s love, His promises, His grace, and strength when they pray and rely on Him. I also pray that I keep growing in my own Catholic faith too✝️🙏🏻.
