What is going on in my brain in this photo?🧐 I’ll tell you!
Holding Ally because she was fussy in her baby chair, while working on spelling words with P and making sure she feels connected and that I’m being helpful, I’ve also asked Levi to get off the counter at least three times in a span of five minutes, and Carter wants to tell me something cool that happened today and I want him to feel like I’m listening and engaged with him. Bella starts whining and wants to go outside. I see that dinner is on the stove and still needs to be put in a bowl for leftovers. I notice the pile of dishes in the sink. Where did I leave Ally’s binky? Crap I forgot to switch the laundry again…
And back to P! “The next word is bat. I have a blue baseball bat.”
The way our brains work and the way we multitask is honestly an Olympic sport. Don’t ever discredit all of the little things and details that you have to remember and put into motherhood day in and day out! You’re not alone, and you’re doing one heck of a good job. And me personally? I wouldn’t change it for anything.
